SEW-EURODRIVE
As part of our sense. training format, we worked with SEW- EURODRIVE to realise a series of workshops that focused on the topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) over the course of a year. The aim was to systematically build up knowledge about AI, learn practical skills in the use and adaptation of pre-trained GPT models and generate ideas for integrating these technologies into everyday working life.

What we have achieved at SEW-EURODRIVE
Initial situation:
SEW-EURODRIVE, a leading global supplier of drive technology and automation solutions, was looking for innovative ways to build up knowledge about new technologies such as AI and XR. The challenge was to create a uniform basis for AI know-how and to support employees in developing their first concrete applications and projects in these areas. The aim was to make the technologies tangible and the introduction practical in order to lay the foundations for the next steps with regard to the possible use of the technologies.
Goal:
Our aim was to create a solid knowledge base in the workshop series and to enable SEW-EURODRIVE employees to design and implement their own AI applications. To this end, we not only conveyed theoretical understanding, but also gave participants the opportunity to adapt, optimize and implement pre-trained GPT models through practical exercises. These skills should form the basis for the sustainable integration of AI in the company and strengthen SEW-EURODRIVE's innovative strength in the long term.
Result:
The workshops were extremely well received by the participants. The clear transfer of knowledge and the practical applications helped to dispel fears and make the potential of AI and XR tangible. In the area of AI, pre-trained GPT models were successfully adapted for company-specific use cases.
The knowledge gained is now being transferred to the teams and serves as a starting point for the further implementation of AI in selected areas. SEW-EURODRIVE has not only set a strategic milestone with the workshops, but also laid the foundations for further progress in the area of digital transformation.
